Research at the Economic Geography Working Group

The research focus of the Economic Geography Working Group is aligned with the profile of the working group. They focus on the topics:

  • Evolutionary Economic Geography
  • Transformation Research and Industrial Change
  • Landscapes of memory

The research projects of the Economic Geography Working Group are methodologically open and, depending on the question, apply quantitative, qualitative or a mix of quantitative and qualitative methods.

The regional focus of the research is in the countries of Central and Eastern Europe as well as East and Southeast Asia.
