After studying political science and economics, biology and educational science at the University of Tübingen, Malte Ring completed his PhD at the Chair of Economic Education of Taiga Brahm. In his dissertation (2017-2020) he analyzed visual representations such as graphs and diagrams in economic education from an interdisciplinary perspective (http://dx.doi.org/10.15496/publikation-51233).
Since then, he works as a postdoc and his primary research interests are:
- Modeling and analyzing representational and graph competencies in economics
- Helping learners in better understanding (multiple) representations
- Supporting future teachers in developing high-quality video explanations for economic and business education
