The eight subprojects

The module “Ethics of Biogerontology” will be tested as part of the following eight subprojects, each consisting of different work groups:

Subproject 1

  • Course instructor: Dr. Uta Müller International Centre for Ethics in the Sciences and Humanities, University of Tübingen and Mone Spindler, (Discourse: Biogerontology)
  • Type of course: Advanced philosophy seminar (Philosophisches Hauptseminar) as part of the Basic Studies Programme in Ethics and Philosophy (EPG) at the University of Tübingen
  • Participants: 13 advanced students of teacher training (different subjects)
  • Time period: summer semester 2012

  • Course instructor: Dr. Hans-Jörg Ehni, Institute for Ethics and the History of Medicine, University of Tübingen
  • Participants: students of medicine
  • Time period: compact seminar from January 21st – 25th, 2013

Subproject 3

  • Course instructor: Dr. Ralf Lutz, Faculty of Catholic Theology and International Centre for Ethics in the Sciences and Humanities, University of Tübingen and Mone Spindler, Discourse: Biogerontology
  • Participants: seniors
  • Time period: November 2012

Subproject 4

  • Course instructor: Prof. Dr. Thomas Rentsch, Institute for Philosophy, TU Dresden
  • Participants: students of philosophy
  • Time period: winter semester 2012/2013

Subproject 5

  • Course instructor: AOR Dr. Julia Dietrich, International Centre for Ethics in the Sciences and Humanities, University of Tübingen
  • Participants: students of education in upper-level courses
  • Time period: winter semester 2012/2013

Subproject 6

  • Course instructor: PD Dr. Wilfried Briest, Leibniz Institute for Age Research - Fritz-Lipmann-Institute (FLI), Jena
  • Participants: doctoral students in the field of biogerontology
