In the Cognitive Development group, we want to understand how cognitive skills change across the lifespan, with a particular focus on school-aged children. Cognitive skills are those that are involved with how we think and process information. The skills we are mostly interested in help people to respond flexibly to challenging tasks and rapidly changing environments. These skills allow us to remain focused and see a task through to its end, and are crucial for learning.
