Searching for traces in Serbia
In this article in Seckenberg-Magazin (in German), Meret and colleagues report on their search for ancient DNA in cave sediments.
Being part of the Leibniz Science Campus “Geogenomic Archaeological Campus Tübingen” (GACT), Meret took part in an excursion to Serbia in the summer of 2025. The aim of the trip was to collect sediment samples to search for ancient DNA. A report on the background of the trip, the Leibniz Science Campus “GACT,” and why ancient DNA is being sought in Serbian cave sediments of all places has now been published in Senckenberg-Magazin (in German).
