Ronica Vungmuankim is a PhD scholar under the Collocations programme at the Interdisciplinary Centre for Global South Studies (ICGSS), University of Tübingen. Vungmuankim holds a Bachelor’s degree in Sociology and Psychology from University of Delhi and a Master’s degree specializing in Criminology and Justice at the School of Social Work from Tata Institute of Social Sciences, Mumbai. She has done extensive work on rehabilitation of women incarcerated in prison, human rights, extra judicial killings, State Violence, community rebuilding and customary law in conflict-affected areas of India and Indo-Myanmar border regions. 
Vungmuankim is trained in Sexuality and Personal Safety Education by Enfold India and in Psycho-Social Safety in Post-Conflict Community Rebuilding by International Rehabilitation Council for Torture Victims.

Her PhD research is on Legal Pluralism with a focus on custom and law of Tribes/Indigenous communities and International Law.
