Neutrality of ChatGPT

New blog article by Alexander Orlowski

With ChatGPT (GPT stands for Generative Pre-Trained Transformer and belongs to the Natural Language Processing models), a language model has been published for free use, which creates texts in significantly better quality than the systems that have been publicly available up to now. Accordingly, there was a great - especially media - response. However, the expectations attached to the system are sometimes too euphoric. Using chat examples, I would like to work out one of the limitations of the system and its implications: It is not a neutral technology, there are biases in ChatGPT and these must be taken into account when using it.
