Tübingen's 4th AI Symposium Sparks Ideas and Exchange

On July 10, 2026, TüCeDE, the Center for School Quality and Teacher Education (ZSL), and the Tübingen Regional Council jointly hosted the 4th AI Conference at the Leibniz-Institut für Wissensmedien (IWM). Teachers, researchers, and education stakeholders came together to discuss the use of AI in schools and education. Two keynotes opened the day: Dr. Isabel Brandhorst spoke on AI as a relationship partner and its implications for mental health, while Dr. Tim Fütterer explored the learning effectiveness of AI in education. At the "Market of Possibilities," institutions such as the AI Center, the Hector Institute, the AI Makerspace and KI macht Schule presented their projects, before participants shaped their own sessions in a Bar Camp format.
