TüCeDE and the City of Stuttgart are bringing AI research into schools

On 14 September, the state capital Stuttgart and the University of Tübingen signed a cooperation agreement. Mayor Isabel Fezer and University Chancellor Dr Andreas Rothfuß formalised a three-year partnership between the Stuttgart School Administration Office and TüCeDE at the Town Hall.

The aim is to test adaptive, AI-supported learning systems developed by researchers in Tübingen in Stuttgart schools under real-world conditions and to further develop them in collaboration with teachers. The collaboration covers four areas of focus: the testing of adaptive learning systems in the classroom; dissertations and research projects addressing specific issues raised by the Stuttgart School Administration Office; the joint development of AI-supported teaching concepts; and expert guidance on issues relating to AI in education. An annual steering meeting will oversee the collaboration.

We look forward to working with the Stuttgart School Administration Office and to linking our research directly to practical applications in schools.
