Since the beginning of the winter semester 2017/18, the university has been cooperating with Ambrosianum College. The TFW has taken over the coordination for this cooperation.
The orientation year Ambrosianum College (sponsored by the Diocese of Rottenburg-Stuttgart) is aimed at high school graduates who are willing to study but are still uncertain about their choice of subject. With the University of Tübingen as its partner, it offers a broad range of general studies with professional and personality-building courses (some of which can be credited in a later course of study) as well as the opportunity to get to know different disciplines on an individual basis by attending lectures and seminars. Meanwhile, the students live in shared flats on the Johanneum campus or in the guest area of the Wilhelmsstift and are also involved in the organization of this year's program. Individual courses take place at TFW.
