Fields of Interest
My research traces signals of diet, climate, mobility and ecological dynamics in terrestrial ecosystems using the stable isotopic approach. I am curious in how ecosystem functioning appeared during the Late Pleistocene and try to understand the ecological role of key actors like megaherbivores, Neandertals and modern humans.
- Evolution of terrestrial ecosystems
- Ecology of the mammoth steppe
- Ecological niche partitioning
- Human-ecosystem interactions
- Late Pleistocene food webs
