The Philosophy Department of the University of Tübingen, housed in the Alte Burse on the Neckar, has one of the richest philosophical traditions and is one of the liveliest departments in Germany. Our curriculum reflects the entire spectrum of themes, traditions, and methods of classical and contemporary philosophy. The foundational Bachelor programs offer historical and systematic training in theoretical and practical philosophy, while the Master programs offer the opportunity to gain insight into current research and the freedom to choose one’s areas of specialization.
