Michael has joined the department of philosophy at Eberhard Karls University, Tübingen, as a postdoctoral researcher in 2023. Prior to that he did his Ph.D in Philosophy at the University of California, Berkeley.
His work as part of TIDA focuses on the role that Aristotle’s qualitative physics plays in the De anima and Parva Naturalia. He is especially interested in Aristotle’s engagement with his predecessors’ conceptions of qualities and qualitative alteration, as well as with the role that his own conceptions of qualities and qualitative alteration plays in his account of perception.
