The College of Fellows currently awards and administers the following fellowships:

Early Career Rescue Fellowship

Academic freedom is under pressure today. This requires rescue havens of free research. The Freiburg Institute for Advanced Studies (FRIAS), the Tübingen College of Fellows (CoF), and the Zukunftskolleg Konstanz (ZuKo) invite early career researchers, whose work is restricted due to political pressure in the USA, to apply for the Baden-Württemberg Early Career Rescue Fellowships 2026-2028 (Ref. No. 2025/229)

Funded by the State of Baden-Württemberg we are offering 14 Postdoctoral Fellowships (2 years).

Postdoctoral Research Fellowships in Intercultural Studies

Postdoctoral Research Fellowships in Intercultural Studies are awarded twice a year and are aimed at international postdoc researchers who are pursuing a research project in the field of intercultural and global studies that deals with fundamental questions of awareness of the coexistence of different cultures in the global world. New Horizons Fellowships

The New Horizons Fellowship Program aims to give new impulses to research and to deepen international and interdisciplinary contacts and cooperation. New Horizons Fellowships are announced and open to nominations  twice a year throughout the university and opoen to nominations from all subjects. Teach @ Tübingen Fellowship

The Teach@Tübingen fellowship is a great opportunity for international early career scholars to familiarize themselves with research and teaching at a German university. It aims to expand English-language instruction at the University of Tübingen. Global Encounters Fellowships

Global Encounters Fellows are awarded by the Global Encounters Platform and appointed to the College of Fellows. The Global Encounters platform is an initiative of the humanities and social sciences faculties to discuss global issues and dynamics from an interdisciplinary perspective. It awards one-year fellowships to international postdoctoral researchers. Further information:
