The 50th Anniversary of the Institute for Biblical Archaeology

The Institute for Biblical Archaeology (BAI) at Tübingen University was founded in 1960. Since its foundation the institute played a prominent role in Biblical Archaeology and the Archaeology of Palestine conducting scientific research and cooperation between Archaeology and Theology. To the celebration of his fifty years old existence an international conference took place from May 28th until May 30th, 2010 in Tübingen.

The institute wishes to thank the Gerda Henkel Stiftung for the sponsorship of the conference and the Universitätsbund Tübingen for awarding a grant.
