Short Vita

Reiner Baur studied at the Institute of Education in Tübingen with the focus on Social Paedagogy. Since june 2023 he works as managing director of the Institute for Research on Far Right Extremism (IRex). Before working at the University of Tübingen, he worked full-time in a youth association and extracurricular youth education from 2009 to 2021 and was an elected member of the Landesjugendring board, representing the interests of children and young people. Since the 1990s, he has been active in the fields of environmental and nature protection, education for sustainable development (ESD), civic education, memorial education and the training of multipliers in children's and youth associations.
