By bringing together experts from diverse fields such as religious studies, Asian studies, philosophy, as well as applied ethics, this conference is the first of its kind to explore a networkof pertinent questions surrounding the ethics of different forms of extreme fasting practices from an interdisciplinary and transcultural perspective.
