Jutta Beck M.A. is an academic assistant at the Seminar for General Rhetoric at the chair of Prof Dr Dietmar Till.

She studied General Rhetoric and Latin Philology in Tübingen and graduated with a Master's degree in both subjects. As part of her interdisciplinary doctoral project with Prof Dr Joachim Knape (General Rhetoric) and Prof Dr Robert Kirstein (Latin Philology), she is researching physicality and rhetoric in Roman antiquity.

Jutta Beck has been a research associate at the University of Tübingen since 2019. In 2019-2023 she was team leader and lecturer of the module 'Conversation Skills' in the project 'Virtual Rhetoric'. Previously, she was a member of staff at the Seminar for General Rhetoric at the chair of Prof Dr Olaf Kramer from 2019-2020.
From 2017-2019, she was a lecturer at the DHBW Stuttgart and Ravensburg, where she gave rhetoric training courses focussing on presentation and conversation skills, as well as at grammar schools and secondary schools.

Jutta Beck is managing director of the Rhetorikforum e.V., a member of the Tübingen Working Group 'Narrative Dynamics in Latin Literature' as well as the German Association of Classical Philologists and the Literary Society (Scheffelbund).

For Jutta Beck, rhetoric is the ability to use strategic communication to give one's own concerns social validity. She welcomes all students whom she can accompany on their way to developing this competence.
