Andrea Liese is Professor for International Organizations and Public Policy at the University of Potsdam. Her research fields are international institutions, transnational cooperation (state and non-state actors) in international human rights and development policy, intra-organisational
process of change in the UN specialised agencies and the interaction of organisations in the United Nations system.

Andrea Liese is principal investigator of the subproject D1 ‘Transnational Public Private Partnerships for Environment, Health, and Social Rights’, which is part of the German Research Foundation sponsored research programme (SFB 700) on ‘Governance in Areas of Limited Statehood.’
Her publications include, among others, Staaten am Pranger. Zur Wirkung internationaler Regime auf die innerstaatliche Menschenrechtspolitik, Wiesbaden: VS Verlag (2006), Internationale Arbeitsregulierung in Zeiten der Globalisierung. Politisch-organisatorisches Lernen in der Internationalen Arbeitsorganisation (IAO), Münster: LIT (2003, together with Eva
