Call for Papers - New Deadline

The 10th Brazil Germany Symposium for Sustainable Development aims to be a platform for inter and transdisciplinary exchange and debate. It will take place at the Federal University Fluminense (UFF) in Niterói in the state of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. Together with the UFF, the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (UFRJ) and the Baden-Württemberg Brazil Center of the University of Tübingen have taken over the organization of the conference.

The focus will be on innovation for sustainability, opportunities, and challenges for sustainable development after Covid-19.

A         Towards a sustainable Future: social, economic, and cultural practices

B         Experiencing and Mitigating Climate Emergency

C         Re-designing Innovation for Sustainability, Managing Resources and Waste

            Subsections: C1 Re-designing Innovation, C2 Management of Resources and Waste

D         Health and Sustainability in a post-Covid19 World  

            Subsections: D1 Covid19 related research, D2 Lessons learned from Covid19

D3: Cancer and other Challenges

Call for Papers

We invite all scientists researching and publishing in this context to submit a presentation for the different sections of the symposium. NEW Deadline: August 08, 2022

Please submit your proposal by August 08, 2022. The Steering Committee will decide on the acceptance of your presentation on a work-sharing basis according to quotas for Brazilians and foreigners. Therefore, scientists doing research in Germany or Europe, are asked to address their proposal in the question sheet “Participants from outside Brazil” at the link above.
