Tübingen Forum for Science and Humanities

The TFW is a central institution of the University of Tübingen. It is a pillar of the Forum Scientiarum.
The Scientific Advisory Board of the TFW is a hinge in the direction of the various faculties of the University of Tübingen.
The Forum Scientiarum was reconstituted in 2023 as an overarching form of cooperation between the humanities and technical, natural and social sciences at the University of Tübingen. It comprises the three independently operating pillars: Leibniz Kolleg, Tübinger Forum für Wissenschaftskulturen (TFW) and Carl Friedrich von Weizsäcker Center (CFvW Center).
The aim is to promote scientific dialogue through scientific, teaching and mentoring programmes. The Forum Scientiarum is based in the Udo Keller Foundation's Studienhaus at Doblerstraße 33, where the TFW and the CFvW Center hold their events; the Leibniz Kolleg continues its successful work in the building at Brunnenstraße 34. The Forum Scientiarum is sponsored by the Udo Keller Foundation - Forum Humanum. Established in 2000, the foundation promotes interdisciplinary dialogue between the natural sciences, humanities and social sciences.
The three sponsoring institutions are represented on the Board of the Forum Scientiarum. The Chairwoman is the Rector of the University.
