The practice of ritual worship is an essential part of religious life. Within the canon of theological subjects, liturgical studies is particularly concerned with this way of accessing reality, focusing primarily on biblically based worship in the past and present. The subject works on an interdisciplinary basis and is ecumenical and oriented towards dialog with other religions and their theologies.
