Dr. Adwan Taleb
Adwan Taleb offers classes on Arab Cinema and Film in the Middle East, as well as classes on Palestinian Colloquial Arabic.
He studied Political Sciences at Yarmouk University (Jordan), International Studies at Birzeit University (Palestine), and holds a Ph.D. in Political Science from the University of Tübingen.
Apart from his academic research on migration, political systems in the Middle East, and contemporary Arab-Islamic thought, he is also engaged in cultural work that fosters dialogue between different religions and societies. Adwan Taleb is the coordinator of the annual Arab Film Festival in Tübingen. The festival was initiated by him in 2005, and became one of the most prominent platforms for Arab film and cinema in Germany.
