Current Research
Currently working on computer models for early hominin lithic production as part of the ERC STONECULT project for the study of the latent solutions model. My research seeks to answer questions of hominin cultural evolution by applying computational methods such as machine learning to the study of early stone tool manufacture. Part of the Tools and Culture Among Early Hominins workgroup of the University of Tübingen, led by Dr Claudio Tennie.
Whilst my main PhD work is focused on early prehistory, I also have a deep interest in the history and archaeology of the first and second millennium BCE.
