Transition Probabilities of Trans-iron Elements

The PhD thesis project focuses on the calculation of transitions probabilities of trans-iron elements from copper to barium with a pseudo-relativistic Hartree-Fock approach. The newly calculated data will be used to identify spectral lines and to determine element abundances in hot white dwarfs.

The salary is based upon the German federal public service scale (50% of E13 TV-L). Women are especially encouraged to apply. Severely handicapped persons will be preferentially considered in case of equivalent qualifications.
