Cognitive processing of food stimuli in binge eating disorder
Several studies have shown the key role of reward-sensitivity in the maintenance of binge eating disorder. In our trial, women and men with a BED-diagnosis receive a four-session training aiming to reduce said reward-sensitivity by exposition to food stimuli. Before and after the training, reward-sensitivity is assessed via means of eye-tracking, electroencephalography (EEG) and reaction time measurement.
While the training is reserved for women and men with binge eating disorderonly, we are also looking for overweight and normal-weight participants without binge eating disorder regarding the remaining assessments.
