The Programme

To increase academic exchange and cooperation between Europe and Taiwan and to promote the study of contemporary Taiwan, the ERCCT each year invites up to 4 Ph.D. or postdoc students from the ERCCT partner institutions (and elsewhere) to work at the Center as visiting fellows for one month (R.O.C. nationality required!). We offer a stipend of 500 € for living expenses and a free round trip air ticket (of up to € 1300.-), we pay for the accommodation (and help to find it) and insurance for the time spent in Tübingen and provide office space at the ERCCT. It is also possible to stay longer than one month and use the ERCCT facilities, though living expenses for the extended time (including the cost of accommodation) will then have to be taken care of by the visiting fellow. 

 
Visiting Fellows take part in the centre’s academic activities, most notably the regularly held Taiwan Colloquium, and present their ongoing Ph.D. or postdoc research to the other fellows. Working languages at the ERCCT are English and Mandarin Chinese.

Applicants should submit an academic CV, an exposé of their research project of max. 10 pages and a letter of recommendation by a professor of their institution via e-mail to Stefan Braig
