Invitation to join the CIVIS BIP “Nature, Society and Psychology of the Climate Crisis” – University of Salzburg, May 2026
Dear students,
We are pleased to invite you to participate in the upcoming CIVIS Blended Intensive Programme (BIP) “Nature, Society and Psychology of the Climate Crisis”, hosted by the University of Salzburg from 4 to 8 May 2026.
This interdisciplinary course combines climate science, social sciences, and psychology to explore how societies can adapt to climate change and overcome barriers to climate action. Participants will engage in interactive lectures, field trips, and collaborative projects where international student teams will create podcasts or videos proposing real-world solutions.
Beyond the academic content, the programme emphasizes social connection and intercultural exchange — bringing together students from across Europe to share perspectives, build networks, and learn from each other. Salzburg in spring offers the perfect backdrop for this: A vibrant Broque world-heritage city surrounded by pristine nature.
