Katarina Roberts is a research associate at the Dept. of Oriental and Islamic Studies at the University of Tübingen since June 2021. She’s working on her doctoral thesis in Islamic Studies (Islamwissenschaft) on the manuscripts of the Kitāb al-Raḥma fī l-ṭibb wa-l-ḥikma (كتاب الرحمة في الطب والحكمة) with a focus on the pursuit and transfer of knowledge in the natural and occult sciences .
She studied Islamic Studies and Gender Studies at the University of Zürich and wrote her Master’s thesis on the role of urban architecture and infrastructure in the legitimisation and realisation of French colonial rule in Algiers.
