Incentive travel contests
Working on the project:

In cooperation with:
Uschi Backes-Gellner (Universität Zürich)
Description:
Incentive travel contests as an incentive device have not been analyzed in any detail - even though a whole industry emerged as a result of their popularity. In this project incentive travel contests are analyzed on the basis of a tournament model, explicitly taking into account the heterogeneity of team members. The theoretical implications are then being confronted with data from a German insurance company.
