Competition to attract foreign direct investment between countries is high. Especially in regard to labour market regulations and their influence on foreign direct investment empirical findings are partly contradictory so far. In this project the question shall be clarified in how far different employment relations systems, and not single labour market regulation factors only, - at the example of Switzerland, Germany and the UK - influence multinational company location decisions of heterogeneous investors.
