The practical class introduces students to the application of multivariate methods in finance and marketing using the software package SAS. By means of various case studies, students learn how to choose and implement the appropriate multivariate methods, how to handle data correctly and how to interpret and question results critically.
The practical class is organized in two groups (group I and II) with a maximum number of participants of 28 each with both groups covering exactly the same material. Practical classes take place on Tuesdays from 4 to 6 p.m. at fortnightly intervals.
The assignment sheets are dedicated to the various multivariate methods covered in the lecture and will be provided on the platfrom Ilias in sufficient time prior to the respective practical classes. Students are asked to prepare for the practical classes in order to take the chance to discuss problems that may have arisen.
