Profile

Sebastian Gießler is a research associate at the International Center for Ethics in the Sciences and the Humanities (IZEW). He did his bachelor's degree in Cultural Anthropology and Sociology at the Friedrich Schiller University Jena. For his master's degree he studied Philosophy of Science at the Leibniz University Hanover. He then worked at AlgorithmWatch gGmbH focusing on digital civil rights and the impact of technology on society. His research included the ethics of automated human resource management and the governance and ethics of digitalisation and artificial intelligence.
