Ting-Yu Liu

My work involves learners, educators and researchers together to explore the potentials of innovative educational technologies via conducting empirical studies using data-driven approaches. I aim for developing practicality-oriented learning systems that are both scientifically sound and realistically effective. To this end, another crucial aspect in my research leans towards adaptive scaffolding that offers sufficient and beneficial aids for learners. Such adaptivities should be scrutinized and updated on a regular basis ideally based on not only researchers’ point of view but also on target learners’ perspectives.

In a nutshell, my research interests lie in emerging learning technologies, Computer-Assisted Language Learning (CALL), and the development of adaptive learning systems. I am happy to connect and collaborate with colleagues who share similar research aspirations!
