Research Interests
The work of my team focuses on social cognition and decision sciences. I focus on the cognitive processes that underlie attitudes, judgment, and decisions. In particular, I examine to what extent cognitive processes adapt adaptively and flexibly to the context in which they occur. In addition, I am interested in learning and judgment processes that operate under suboptimal conditions (e.g., distraction, time pressure, and lack of information).
I often address substantive research questions with the help of statistical modeling, which can provide information about the involvement of different cognitive processes or influencing factors in a learning outcome or judgment.
