Academic Profile

Gesa Ingendahl is a lecturer in Empirische Kulturwissenschaft in Tübingen. She received her M.A. and Ph.D. at the University of Jena. Her doctoral thesis was published as Witwen in der Frühen Neuzeit: Eine kulturhistorische Studie (Campus Verlag, 2006). Her research interests include gender history, cultural history, and Alltagsgeschichte. Recent publications include: “Historische Ethnografie. Das Beispiel Archiv” (with Lioba Keller-Drescher) in Schweizerisches Archiv für Volkskunde 2/2010; “Widows in Workshop, Office and House: a Generational Project?” in Generations in Towns, edited by Finn-Einar Eliassen and Katalin Szende (Cambridge Scholars, 2009).
