About me

I am a sociolinguist doing research in the field of language variation and change. I completed my Ph.D. in Sociolinguistics at Queen Mary, University of London, in collaboration with the Quantitative Linguistics Department, Universität Tübingen. The title of my dissertation is: "Coherence, Convergence and Change: A Sociolinguistic Variationist Approach to Dialect and Standard Language Use in Swabia.

 

Research interests

My primary interest is with language and society and how mindset, identity, mobility, and other social, cultural, political, historical, psychological, and technological factors can drive or inhibit language change. Click here for a PDF of my CV.
