Postdoctoral Researcher

Dr. Emmanouil Bougiakiotis

Dr. Emmanouil Bougiakiotis has been a postdoctoral researcher at the chair since February 2026. He holds a PhD in Law from the European University Institute and an MJur from the University of Oxford. His work focuses on the governance of data and artificial intelligence, with particular attention to collective harms, risk, and distributive justice in large-scale data processing and algorithmic decision-making. He previously worked in the public sector, including at the Greek Data Protection Authority and the European Data Protection Board, experience that informs his efforts to bridge theoretical analysis and legal practice.
