My ongoing project revolves around the synthesis and optical characterization of transition metal dichalcogenides like MoS₂ and WS₂, alongside their ternary heterostructures. Through colloidal synthesis techniques, we aim to produce atomically thin semiconductors with tunable properties in scalable quantities. Furthermore, we investigate the excited state dynamics of these materials, as well as those provided by our collaborative partners, utilizing transient absorption spectroscopy.
