Reflectometric Interference Spectroscopy (RIfS)
RIfS measures the shift of an interference spectrum of white light which is reflected at the interfaces of a transparent layer system. As a label-free direct optical technique, RIfS offers a variety of features such as:
- No need for labeled analytes
- Time-resolved measurements
- No need for thermostabiliziation (because not only the refractive index influences the signal but also the physical thickness, resulting in the so called optical thickness)
