Native Speakers wanted as Student Assistants (f/m/d)

Starting in September 24, the English Department is hiring a student assistant (40h/month) with a focus on editing

As part of the project “Populism and Conspiracy Theories” (PACT), various publications in English (articles, monographs, edited volumes) will be published in the course of next year. We are looking for a native speaking student assistant to support the editing and publication process. Tasks include proofreading texts, checking references, layouting, copying, communication and coordination with the respective authors if required. More information on the application process can be found here

Heimat through comics: An Exploration of Nora Krug's graphic memoir 'Belonging' 
With a theoretical focus on comics studies, this course concerns Nora Krug’s graphic text Belonging (2018). Students will apply tenets of comics studies when reading the text, in which the author seeks to come to terms with her family’s past. General discussions of Heimat and personal stories will round out the theoretical and literary analytical aspects of the course. The course is conducted in English and can accommodate learners on the CEF levels B2, C1, or C2.
