ContentThe course is designed as a companion to the lecture "Applied Econometrics" enabling students to use the EViews software in practical applications for econometric and statistical analysis. The main focus lies on applications of the classic linear regression model in economics, business administration and finance.
LiteratureGriffiths/Hill/Lim (2008): "Using EViews for Principles of Econometrics", John Wiley and Sons (selected chapters).
Hayashi, Fumio (2000): "Econometrics", Princeton (chapter 1-3).
Wooldridge, Jeffrey (2002): "Introductory Econometrics. A Modern Approach", South West College Publishing (selected chapters).

Information

The course will be blocked. The dates are:

Mon. 26.05, Mon. 02.06., Mon. 09.06., Mon. 16.06., Mon. 23.06., Mon. 07.07.

There will be two courses covering exactly the same material. One from 9 a.m. to 12 a.m. (group I) and the other from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. (group II) at each of the dates given above. Note: The number of participants for this course is limited and prior registration is required.

FINAL EXAM:

The time slot for the EViews exam has been fixed for Monday, 21.07.2008 from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. You have to register for the exam in the PC Lab session June 23rd. After this date you can register by sending an email (with name, student-ID) to Miriam Sperl.
