The Center for Gender and Diversity Research (ZGD) is an interfaculty research institute at the University of Tübingen. Its aim is to create and further an interdisciplinary dialogue between the humanities, social, and natural sciences concerning research on gender and diversity.
It is part of the Center's profile
- to generate ideas and research questions at the intersection of gender and diversity across all disciplines
- to research and reflect equal opportunities policies at the University of Tübingen
- to establish a network of gender and diversity researchers within the University of Tübingen, and at other national and international institutions
- to provide a platform for a dialogue between the university and groups and individuals who work or want to work in the field of gender, queer and diversity studies. As such, the ZGD is also a contact point for everyone looking for an institutional frame to develop ideas and events on gender and diversity topics.
An assembly consisting of member from different faculties, as well as an international advisory board provide the team of the ZGD with input and feedback regarding the events at and the further development of the center, and facilitate access to different research fields.
