Academic Staff/Research Associate in the Area of Ethics and Digitalization

as soon as possible

The International Centre for Ethics in the Sciences and Humanities (IZEW) at the University of Tübingen offers a position for a research associate (f/m/d) in the field of interdisciplinary research on digitalization as soon as possible. The position is located with the Centre’s research focus “Media Ethics and Information Technology”. Specifically, we are looking for specializations in at least one of the following areas: AI ethics, big data and society, AI and trust, AI regulation, training data quality, algorithmic decision making and fake news. The position is suitable for part time arrangements.

The following qualifications are expected of the applicant:

  • Master's degree in philosophy, communication and media studies or another field within the humanities or social sciences

  • Specialization in information and media ethics, ethics of technology, or applied ethics in general

  • Willingness and ability to work in an interdisciplinary environment
