Trust in times of disinformation?

Discussion in Stuttgart with Maria Pawelec on 29 November 2024.

Deepfakes on the internet and disinformation are by no means new factors in the political discourse, but they are becoming even more explosive against the backdrop of the upcoming federal elections. What is the current state of technology and what influence is AI already having on the political discourse? What does this mean for society's trust in democracy?

Maria Pawelec from the IZEW and Dr Christopher Nehring will discuss this on 29.11.2024 at 6 pm at the Academy of the Diocese of Rottenburg-Stuttgart.

Maria Pawelec's keynote speech will provide a diagnosis of the present: What do we mean by deepfakes? Where are we in our development? What are perhaps also potentials? Dr Christopher Nehring will devote his next keynote speech to the influence of disinformation on elections. We will then discuss the different perspectives. Is trust still possible in these times? We want to get closer to this question!
