Universität Tübingen erhält Zertifikat „familiengerechte Hochschule“
Die Universität Tübingen hat in den vergangenen Jahren viel getan, um Familien zu unterstützen; beispielsweise gibt es nun Rückzugsräume für Studierende mit Erziehungsaufgaben, familienfreundliche Sitzungszeiten und Beratungsangebote. Dafür wurde sie zum zweiten Mail mit dem Titel „familiengerechte Hochschule“ ausgezeichnet. Voraussetzung für das Zertifikat war unter anderem eine Zielvereinbarung für Maßnahmen, die künftig an der Universität umgesetzt werden sollen, unter anderem in den Bereichen Telearbeit oder Pflege.
Die Initiative Pro Recyclingpapier kürte die Universität Tübingen zum zweiten Mal in Folge zu einer der „Recyclingpapierfreundlichsten Hochschulen“ in Deutschland. Über vier Millionen Liter Wasser und mehr als 838.000 kWh Energie sparte die Universität 2016 durch die Verwendung von Recyclingpapier.
Ausstellung: Biologie beflügelt Architektur im Naturkundemuseum Stuttgart
Die Ausstellung „baubionik – biologie beflügelt architektur“ im Naturkundemuseum Stuttgart zeigt, wie Erkenntnisse aus der Biologie helfen können, nachhaltig und schön zu bauen. Forscher aus Tübingen haben die Ausstellung mitentwickelt. Auch zu sehen: wie die Technik, mit der Schnecken ihre Häuschen bilden, als Vorbild für Architektur-Elemente aus dem 3-D-Drucker dienen könnte.
Noch bis zum 6. Mai 2018 ist die Ausstellung im Schloss Rosenstein zu sehen.
