Lending Regulations of the WSI-Library, valid since May 2018:
Depending on the user and inventory group, there are different rules for the lending options.
User group students/ Lending from the loan stock
- Lending of maximum 20 books from the loan stock.
- The basic lending period is 28 days.
- A renewal via aDIS-OPAC is possible, if there is no reservation placed on that medium. The loan period is extended by 28 days.
- An extension can be carried out only up to a total loan period (basic loan period + extensions) of maximum 3 x 28 days.
- The user will get a reminder via e-mail 4 days before the end of the loan period.
- The first default level is set 3 days after the expiry date, the default levels 2, 3 and 4 are set every 7 days.
User group university staff members/ Lending from the loan stock
- Lending of maximum 100 books from the loan stock.
- The basic lending period is 84 days.
- A renewal is carried out automatically 18 times for 14 days in each case, if the medium is not reserved. This means that a total loan period of 12 x 28 days is possible.
- The first default level is set 3 days after the expiry date, the default levels 2, 3 and 4 are set every 7 days.
User groups students and university staff members/ Lending from the ‘Semesterapparat’ (term apparatus)
- Lending of maximum 100 books from the ‘Semesterapparat’.
- The basic lending period is 1 day.
- A reminder is issued on the next opening day. This means the following day for overnight loans, the following Monday for weekend loans. An extension is not possible.
- On the next opening day, the books should be returned by 2 p.m. If this is not the case, the first default level is set in the afternoon. The subsequent default levels are set on the following days.
