EconLit : You can find most of the journal articles here and you are also authorized to download the pdfs if you access the webpage with your student-client.
archive.org : You can search for a lot of books and there have been digitized many censuses, such as the one of India 1891, 1901 etc. Searching "census", "recenseamento", "statistical yearbook" etc. yield a lot of hits that can then be downloaded as pdfs.
