Dr. Marianna Zarantonello

Marianna Zarantonello has been a research associate at the Asien-Orient Institut at the University of Tübingen since October 2024.

She studied Classics, Ancient History, and Arabic Studies at the University of Padua in Italy, and in 2022, she received her doctorate (cotutelle de thèse) in Philology, Linguistics, and Literature at the University of Padua and in Islamic Studies at the University of Zurich. Until May 2023, she was a research fellow at the Institute of Medieval Philosophy at the University of Padua, and since October 2023, she has been at the Asien-Orient Institut in Tübingen, first as a Teach@Tübingen Fellow and then as a DAAD PRIME Fellow (foreign host institute: University of Exeter).
