Gabriella Daroczy is a PhD candidate in the Diagnostics and Cognitive Neuropsychology Group at the University of Tuebingen, Germany. She is also involved in teaching and organising seminars. She completed her master’s degrees in Cognitive Science in Vienna, Austria and in Engineering and Management in Miskolc, Hungary. Her research focuses on understanding where the difficulty of word problem solving originates from. Gabriella Daroczy mainly addresses the following questions: Why is word problem difficult for adults and children? Why are non-standard word problems especially difficult? How do numerical and linguistic processes influence the solution accuracy? What is the role of other covariates like individual abilities and mathematics anxiety?  How do eye-movements connect to the different processing stages?
